Verna Lee Kennedy Crosier, 77, of Zelienople, formerly of Washington, died on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
She was born on August 22, 1937, in Washington, a daughter of the late John H. and Emma McKinney Kennedy.
A 1955 graduate of Washington High School, she had been a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, and more recently NorthBridge Community Church, in Cranberry Township.
Mrs. Crosier had been a travel consultant for AAA, for 13 years.
She was a member of SOAR – Steel Workers Organization of Active Retirees, the former secretary of Frazier-Simplex Junior Rifle Club, and had been very active in the Girl Scouts.
Verna enjoyed painting, and loved spending time with her family.
On July 2, 1957, she married William Harry Crosier, Jr., who died on March 13, 2010.
Surviving are a son, William J. Crosier, and his wife, Lisa Denny, of East Washington; a daughter, Brenda D. Gundersen, and her husband, Frank, of Cranberry Township; and three grandchildren, Benjamin William Denny Crosier, David Patrick Gundersen, and Emily Ann Gundersen.
Deceased are a brother, John Kennedy, and a sister, Margaret Kennedy.
Friends will be received on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where additional visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of services, with Rev. James (Jame) Price officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray, PA.
