Mary Virginia Currey

Mary Virginia Currey, 67, of Shinnston, West Virginia, died December 26, 2014, in Kade Nursing and Rehabilitation, Washington. She was born August 3, 1947, in Shinnston, West Virginia, a daughter of Sam Rota and Katie Wise Rota. Mrs. Currey graduated from High School in Shinnston and then attended Penn Commercial. She was a homemaker and former Cub Scout den mother who enjoyed cooking, reading, using her computer and being with her grandchildren. Mrs. Currey was Methodist by faith. On July 12, 1965, she married Clyde F. Currey, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Eddie (Troy) Currey of Chambersburg, Brian Currey and Eric Currey, both of Waynesburg; a brother, James (Dorothy) Rota of Shinnston; and six grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley, April, Tyler, Jasmin and Jeremy; and a daughter-in-law, Amy Currey. Deceased is a son, Sean Currey. Friends will be received Monday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
