John "Shoe" Mcdonald

John “Shoe” McDonald, 80 of Washington, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the Washington Hospital. He was born September 23, 1934 in Reynoldsville, PA the son of the late Patrick McDonald and Bertha Whitaker McDonald. He graduated from Reynoldsville High School and worked for Georgia Boot and Endocott Johnson as a sales manager in the shoe industry. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, the Arms Club, Elks #776 and was a avid Steelers, Pirate and Penguin Fan. On October 25, 1959 he married Christine A. Fusco, who died February 2, 2014. Surviving are two sons, Steven (Anne) McDonald of Herndon, VA and Scott (Laura) McDonald of Del Ray Beach, FL; a sister Frances Wells of Reynoldsville; six grandchildren, Jordan, Erin, Ryann, Patrick, Alexandra McDonald. Deceased is a sister, Mary Ann Armagost. At the request of the deceased, no public visitations will be held, a memorial service will be held at a date to be announced. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Memorial donations can be made to the Donnell House, c/o Washington Health Systems Hospice Care, 155 Wilson Ave, Washington, PA 15301. A graveside service will be held for John and Christine McDonald, on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Washington Cemetery Chapel
