Louis James "Bus" Koeppelle, 76 of Washington, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at UPMC, Presbyterian.
He was born August 1, 1938 in Washington the son of the late Louis Giles Koeppelle and Geraldine Elizabeth Redlinger Koeppelle.
Louis graduated from Washington High School.
He had a passion for repairing heavy equipment, which lead to him opening his own business, LJK Equipment Repair. He retired from James H. Smith & Sons.
Louis was a 35-year member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, formerly Allison Ave Baptist Church, where he was a trustee for many years. He coached the Broad Street Baptist church league softball team.
He loved music everything from classical to country, yard work, gardening and was a man of many talents and could fix anything, a “real handyman”. His greatest love was his family and church family.
On July 17, 1958 he married Faye Stuck who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Nita Wussick of Washington and Christine (Brian Dugan) Koeppelle of Bethel Park; a brother, William (Joyce) Koeppelle of Washington; two grandchildren, Steven (Jocelyn Unrue) Wussick and Laura (Corey Dieterle) Wussic, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a granddaughter, Carla Wussick.
Friends will be received Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 1 to3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Dietrich officiating. Internment is private.
