James “Bubba” Beatty, Jr., 28, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
He was born on March 8, 1986, in Washington, a son of James E. Beatty, Sr. and Hope Boardley Beatty, of Washington.
James took masonry work training at Vo-Tech, and graduated from McGuffey High School.
He worked for 10 years at Golden Triangle Construction Company in heavy highway construction.
Mr. Beatty enjoyed hunting, riding his Harley, his truck and mudding. He loved everything outdoors. “Bubba” was a very kind person, who always helped others when he could.
On June 25, 2011, he married his best friend, Hali Ann Matthews, who survives.
Also surviving are three sisters, Christy Beatty, Brandy (Marcos) Nevel, and Ashley Beatty, all of Washington; 5 nieces and nephews, Malia, Marcos, Jr., Mya, Mia and Chase.
Friends will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2014.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
