Doris Mae Wier, 87, of Wayne, Michigan, formally of Claysville, died on Thursday, April 11, 2013.
She was born October 25, 1925 in Elm Grove, WV, the daughter of the late Harry Hungerman and Olive Gray Hungerman Bryant.
Doris was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, jigsaw puzzles and reading.
She was a member of Grace Bible Church in West Middletown.
On March 2, 1945, she married Arthur Wier, who died July 26, 2008.
Surviving are her son, Richard M. (Andrea) Wier of Washington; two daughters, Linda L. (Tom) Siefert of Macomb Twp., MI and Deborah K. (Vern) Amos, Wayne, MI; a brother, Donald (Carolyn) Hungerman of Canal Winchester, OH; seven grandchildren, Heather (Mark) Losko, Michael (Autumn) Wier, Derek, Joshua and Jordan Adams, Jody Amos-Shirlin and Chad Amos; 10 great grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother Harry Hungerman, Jr and two sisters; Betty Adams and Sylvia Pintola.
Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington where services will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Steven Spence officiating. Burial will follow in West Alexander Cemetery.
