Gabriella R. Cappelli

Gabriella R. Cappelli, 81, of Washington, died on Thursday, February 21, 2013, in her residence, following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 21, 1931, in Munhall, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Hozdovich Roba. A graduate of Munhall High School, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 1953. She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Cappelli had worked as a pharmacist at Viehmann’s Pharmacy, for many years, and also at Greene County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Lone Pine Golf Club, Washington Country Club, Women’s Golf Association of Western PA, for many years, and Lambda Kappa Sigma Professional Pharmacy Sorority. On June 25, 1955, she married Raymond M. Cappelli, Sr., who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Raymond M. Cappelli, Jr., of Canonsburg; James (Suzanne) Cappelli, of Washington; 2 daughters, Carolyn (Dennis) Cappelli Schwerzler, of Woodstock, GA; and Lesley Ann Cappelli, of Burnsville, MN; a brother, Ted Ondocsin, of Plano, TX; a sister, Elvira Patton, of Ocala, FL; 7 grandchildren, Carly Ray and R. Michael Cappelli, Patrick and Sydney Sweeny, Natalie, Alayna and Claudia Cappelli, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, February 25, 2013, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, with Father Thomas O’Neil as Celebrant. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
