Vicki J. Marker, 60, of Washington, died Monday, January 21, 2013, following a more than 15-year battle with cancer.
She was born January 22, 1952, in Washington, a daughter of the late Russell Clair “Rusty” Hay, Sr., and Louise A. Moore Hay.
A 1971 graduate of Trinity High School, Mrs. Marker had worked at Ball Glass as a selector/packer and at Axcera in warehouse control for 15 years.
She was very active in cancer awareness and participated annually in Relay for Life. Mrs. Marker always put others ahead of her own needs.
She loved cooking.
On February 27, 1993, she married Leroy F. Marker, who survives.
Also surviving are three brothers, Russell C. Hay Jr. (Linda), Gerald F. “Barrell” Hay (Joyce), and Malcolm V. Hay (Helen), all of Washington; a sister, Mary Louise Adams of Meadowlands; nieces and nephews, Donna Mantia, Dawn Hay, Heather J. and Heidi L. Hay, Marcie Unrue, Joseph Unrue, Jerry Hay and Andrew Adams; a great-niece, Savannah Hay; and a great-nephew, Jerry Hay.
Deceased is a sister, Deborah Bennett.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 25th, with Rev. Dr. Gary Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
