Bonita Lynn “Bonnie” Lightfoot, 54, of Washington, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012, in the Washington Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was born June 25, 1957, in Washington, a daughter of Judith Henderson Lightfoot,of Washington, and the late Curtis Lightfoot.
Bonita lived in Los Angeles, CA, during her early years, and then relocated to Washington, D.C., where she was a bricklayer for 20 years, and an Animal Control Dispatcher.
Bonita loved the Lord and was a member of Trinity Bible Fellowship in Washington.
She enjoyed outdoor activities.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are a son, BonSel Lightfoot, of Washington; a nephew, Robert (Brenda) Lightfoot, and great nephew, Julian Lightfoot, both of Los Angeles, CA.; four aunts, Grace Lightfoot, Willetta Lightfoot, Joyce St. Amie, and Brenda Vactor; an uncle, Douglas Henderson; and several cousins.
Deceased in addition to her father, are a brother, Eric Eugene Lightfoot, an uncle, Emmett Henderson; and an aunt, Yvonne “Sherry” Henderson.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Friday, June 15th, in Trinity Bible Fellowship, 1350 Park Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
