Betty Jane Seals Ringer, 78, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011, in the Washington Hospital. She was born June 17, 1933, in Burgettstown, a daughter of Spencer George Seals, Sr. and Robertine Gaddis Seals. Mrs. Ringer was a private duty caregiver and also a bartender at local bars. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mrs. Ringer was Protestant. Surviving are four daughters, Donna L. Kiskadden of Washington, Elizabeth A. “Sweetie” Weaver (Nick) of Marianna, Cathy Ringer Cumberledge (Joseph) of Washington and Patricia J. Scott (Jeanie) of Avon Park, Florida; two brothers, Spencer George “Dutch” Seals, Jr. of Canonsburg and Joseph “Tad Pole” Seals (Pat) of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Brenda Reidenbaugh (Tom) of Avella, Judy Watton (Clyde) of Langeloth, and Sheila Adams (John) of Avella; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two sons, Donald W. Watton and Spencer George Watton; brother, Howard Wayne Seals; sister, Beatrice “Tibby” Allen. Friends will be received from Noon to 4 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, September 24th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
