Mary P. Urso

Mary P. Urso, 87, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, in Canonsburg General Hospital. She was born May 26, 1924, in Manifold, a daughter of Frank and Mary Barbara Vogiliani Patrina. Mrs. Urso attended Chartiers Schools and Mason-Felix Cosmetology School. She was owner- operator of Frank and Mary’s Beauty Shop. Mrs. Urso was a homemaker and member of St. Hilary Church and Vitore Lodge #76. In September 1952, she married Frank S. Urso, who died September 2, 1982. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Dennis A. (Regina) Urso of North Strabane Township and Frank Monte Urso of Washington; a daughter, Marlene (Michael T.) King of Washington; a sister, Virginia Oliverio of Sunnyvale, California; six grandchildren, Maria Urso, Frank B. Urso, Brian Dennis (Jennifer) Urso, Denise (David) Galloway, Michael (Lisa) King and Alan (Brenda) King; and several great-grandchildren. Deceased are seven brothers, Frank and Anthony Zenner, Joseph, Valentino and Gildo Patrina, and Robert and Maurice Patrene; and four sisters, Rose Lowther, Cecilia Embert, Natalie Yaquinto and Anna Wilson. At the request of the deceased, no public visitation or services were held. Private burial was in Washington Cemetery.
